When the box below
appears enter a name for yourself into the lower box (the one just above
the emoticons where the cursor is already flashing) From then on you will see in the upper window if anyone 'chats' in the room, as their name will appear, with what they said, beside it. To 'talk' in the room yourself, simply type what you want to say in the lower box (where you entered your name) and press ENTER on your keyboard. |

| A chat room is a very entertaining
alternative to a typing tutor, or keyboard skills program. You will soon
find that chatting to people in a chat room gets you very used to the keyboard,
as you are probably more interested in what you are saying, than repeatedly
typing the same phrases during a typing tutor program. Be aware that chat rooms can be extremely addictive and the time really can fly when you are talking to people in them Finally just to say that the nickname you choose when in any chat room, will reflect how other people perceive you within that room. If this makes little sense to you then take a look at some of the nicknames in some of the rooms next time you are there and you'll soon get the idea. |
